Amazing hospitality! They can arrange all sorts of tours and are very helpful. Ceylon is a great driver too! Amazing breakfast, 10 out of 10.

Good value, only a 10‑minute walk to the bus station which makes Dambula, Sigirya and Polonnaruwa easily accessible. Included water boiler and tea/sugar packets. Neighbourhood dogs bark often, so it’s not recommended if you’re easily scared by dogs, but they don’t do anything so you’ll manage.

The bed turned out to be quite comfy, and the room was bigger than I’d guessed, even having a living‑room‑style kitchen with a fridge. The staff were friendly, quick to reply and helpful, and the spot was spot‑on for the nearby tourist spots. The fridge worked fine and the kitchen area was a real bonus given the cost. On the downside, there were bugs—though the host mentioned they’re natural here—and the AC was old and noisy, not perfect. A proper blanket and a few extra glasses, cups and cutlery would have been nice, but overall, for the price the room and facilities were solid.
