The Pousada’s location, next to one of the historic churches, and a short walk to the Santuario de Matosinhos (where the prophet statues by Aleijadinho are located) can be done. The breakfast is too simple… it could be improved.

It had the charm of a countryside inn, not luxurious but comfy, with a spacious room and a convenient location. The breakfast was simple, but the real issue was the lack of protein options—no eggs in any form—and the overall value didn’t justify the price, so a better breakfast would be welcome.

As a tourist in Congonhas, this hotel fits the city perfectly and feels quite pleasant, but there were very few staff members.

“Atende a necessidade.”

I liked the friendly receptionist, the roomy bedroom, and the cute front of the inn. The breakfast, however, was weak compared to other hotels of the same class, and there’s a stone wall behind the pool that would look great after a thorough cleaning.

“Maravilhosa, os detalhes me encantaram, me senti dentro de uma novela de época.”

The inn is beautiful, well‑situated, and full of typical old‑house details—totally worth it. We arrived early at the destination and insisted on checking in ahead of time; that was fine, but at other inns where this happened, they let us stay a few hours earlier.
