Our room had an issue and I had to wait 90 minutes in the lobby while one person tried to resolve it, while another family was experiencing the same; we were told no more rooms were available, then a manager offered us a pricier room that was free. Why lie? It was 10 pm, we’d driven all day and were exhausted. The hotel itself was fine, but the mishandling of the situation left us stuck in the lobby.

Getting to Marcus for our 50th class reunion was a breeze, and many classmates stayed here, sparking a wave of memories. The bathroom feels a bit dated; it could use more hooks for damp towels and hand towels, and the tub needs a facelift or non‑slip straps or pads to stop falls.
