The entire house was well-equipped, except for one locked bedroom that could be booked separately. The rooms were charming, with comfortable beds and linens, and the living area and kitchen were spacious enough for everyone. The upstairs bedroom had AC, though it wasn't necessary in Knysna’s cool nights. A washer and dryer were available, and the upstairs lounge featured a cozy TV and fireplace, mirrored by another in the living room. Cleaning was done every Wednesday, and there were two decks outside, ideal for any weather. The pool was clean and heated, and the owner’s communication was top‑class. Minor issues included the pool tiles falling off the deck, which needed oiling, and the bathrooms felt a bit cramped for the house’s size.

“Disappointing”

Our stay was marred by a frustrating deposit process. Though the listing promised international guests could pay a deposit, they actually asked us to transfer it into their golf account—a strange, unprofessional move. We agreed only because they promised a full cash refund upon departure. On the day we left, they said the timing didn’t suit them, so we had to set up an international bank account for the refund. Even after that, it took a whole month for the owners to process the refund, and we had to send weekly messages to check on it, often receiving no reply. This was incredibly aggravating, especially since we relied on that bond refund for the rest of our trip and had left the house spotless. The accommodation itself might have been fine, but this ordeal left a bad taste. If you’re traveling internationally, beware of their deposit process—or better yet, find a place that handles payments and refunds properly. The place itself was great, but the administrative nightmare was a major downside.

The space was ideal, with a layout that was very practical. Rooms were large and comfortable, and the proximity to Knysna and the back was convenient. No complaints.
