The room was clean and spacious, the windows were large and pleasant. However, there was no desk.

The triple room was spacious and comfortable, but the parking lot was cramped and the on‑site hot spring was only open until 7:30 am.

The hotel sits right beside the stone steps, with a convenience store directly in front and a ramen shop next door; the rooms aren’t cramped, the view is nice and the parking is tucked behind the building, plus the door opens with a keypad and no keys are needed, although there’s no front desk—just a tablet, so you have to check in beforehand. The downside is that, despite being in Ikaho Onsen, the hotel itself has no indoor bath; you can use a partner ryokan’s day‑spa for ¥1,000 but it only runs from 5 pm to 7:30 pm and you can’t use its morning bath, nor can you use the nearby public Stone Steps Bath in the morning, and the Wi‑Fi is extremely slow.

I was just a stone’s throw from the Stone Steps and could see them from the room. A convenience store was on the opposite side of the street. The bed was comfy, and a bus stop was nearby. The check‑in system failed; a QR code that should have let me self‑check in wasn’t read by the hotel camera, and the staff couldn’t explain why. I understand the system is meant to ease staff workload, but it clearly needs fixing.
