“A good central place to stay in Rome”
Good location (close to the train station), decent gym, clean and spacious room. The room taxes were higher than at other hotels, and the rooms were not cleaned thoroughly each day.

Located in Rome's Repubblica area, the Starhotels Metropole is a 5-minute walk from Roma Termini, 6 minutes from Viminale, and 90 meters from the Opera House. The hotel is a 5-minute walk to Basilica Papale Santa Maria Maggiore and within a 10-15 minute walk to the Coliseum and Trevi Fountain.

I was pleased that, despite being close to Termini station, the hotel sits on a quiet street surrounded by other four‑star properties, so the area felt safe. Inside, the room was spacious and even had a bathtub, which made the stay comfortable. No complaints.
