A lovely country home. We had a big room overlooking the front yard with a huge en‑suite bathroom. It was very quiet, comfortable, and welcoming. We had great chats with our host Susan and the breakfast was plentiful and tasty. It was the perfect stop halfway between Galway and Dublin. The 5 pm check‑in felt late, but there was a nice retro café (and an interesting museum) next door where we spent a bit of time while we waited.

The breakfast was lovely and the location beautiful, but it only starts at 8am, so a later option would have been nice.

The Shepherd’s Hut was charming, clean, and had everything we needed for comfort, yet no breakfast was offered for guests staying in the huts—only for those in the main house—and there was no nearby place to get breakfast.
