Everything was clean, the beds were comfy, the host was nice, and the spot was quiet yet close to Mahone Bay and Lunenburg for day trips. I would have liked a few more breakfast options.

The hosts were friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home right away and treating us like family. I highly recommend it for its comfort, location, and relaxing vibe. It’s not far from two major roads, so getting to Mahone Bay is easy. The hosts know the area well and shared great tips on what to see. Perfect for a visit to the South Shore. Staying at this beautifully renovated farmhouse was outstanding. It sits just off the main road and gives a peaceful feel. The room was spacious and immaculate, with a large bathroom. The grounds were well kept, showing great attention to detail. The location was quiet, letting me sleep well, and the fresh air from the windows was a nice touch. Breakfast each morning was delicious, featuring fresh coffee, granola, and yogurt. Its proximity to Lunenburg and Mahone Bay made it an ideal base. A short walk led to the river where chairs and a dock offered scenic views. Frauke and Mike were helpful and friendly, making the stay enjoyable, and Charlie, their dog, was a charming companion. Frauke’s local restaurant recommendations were extremely useful. I would highly recommend this farmhouse for anyone visiting Nova Scotia’s south shore. It’s perfect as it is.

The place was a hidden gem—quiet, gorgeous, and totally secluded. Our room was spotless, super comfy, and had every little thing we could need. The host was warm and always ready to help. The only thing that slipped was the occasional murmur from neighboring rooms, but honestly it didn’t ruin anything.
