The host welcomed us warmly and even offered breakfast the following morning; the only inconvenience was that the place sits 3km from Carrick on Shannon, but a local taxi—numbers supplied by the host—made the trip simple.

A perfectly quiet spot just a few minutes’ drive from Carrick town, the house was well maintained and presented; the host was very helpful, and we’d definitely return.

The rooms and location were good, and the host was helpful and hospitable, but the bathroom lacked hooks for towels.
