The hotel was very well run, everything was clean and spaciously designed. However, the rules felt a bit rigid: you’re told exactly which breakfast table you must sit at, evenings you can’t get draft beer and are directed to the minibar even though the restaurant is still open, and you’re not allowed to leave your luggage in your room before 15:00 when you arrive.

The front‑desk lady was exceptionally nice. The whole property felt very upscale in its furnishings, and we were able to park our motorcycles for free in a large garage.

The spot is perfect for Brilon Stadt and the surrounding area, and my family and I have stayed here several times. The staff were friendly, the room was large with a balcony, the bed was comfortable, there was plenty of storage, the sauna was an extra cost but excellent (and it was turned on just for me!), the continental breakfast was good, and dinner in their bar/restaurant was fantastic! The bar and restaurant only opened on certain days, but when we did go for dinner the quality was amazing. The duvets were too warm for summer.

We stayed for one night with nine people at Hotel Rech. We really liked the staff’s friendliness, the hotel’s location, the ability to safely store our bicycles, and the superb dinner.
