We stayed at this charming little guesthouse that offers a swimming pool and is situated in a very quiet spot, about a 20‑minute drive from Leipzig centre. The host kept the retreat clean and lovely, and we all enjoyed swimming in the pool—using it every morning for a cool, refreshing start and in the evening to cool off after a hot day of sightseeing. The only downside was the lack of running water or a sink in the summer outhouse; it felt a bit outdated and not ideal for cooking or eating there. The host explained alternatives, even offered breakfast and cleaned our plates after a quick brunch. Local restaurants cover that side, and there are plenty in Leipzig city centre, so we only used the place to relax after our cup win and a couple of sightseeing days.

The place had a lovely, peaceful vibe, and it was just a few minutes on foot to a bus stop that links to tram services heading into the city centre.
