When I travel in the USA, I always feel like I'm getting ripped off; these dumpy motels are full of price gouging, like if it were only fifty bucks a night. But that’s not the case—most places in the USA are run down, expensive, and just gross. I’m glad this was just a one‑night stay and that I won’t travel there so often because I can’t wrap my head around how the U.S. thinks a run‑down motel should cost a couple hundred a night. I liked that it was only one night, then I left the U.S. The room was overpriced, tiny, not comfy, dingy, and the restaurant next door was overpriced, gross, and low quality—better to sleep in your car.

There’s no breakfast here, but the on‑site restaurant offers coffee, and we also had dinner there.

The property was very cute and clean with lots of charm, and the staff were very nice and accommodating. Being on a busy road, the traffic was pretty loud in the morning.
