Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Barrie

The reception staff were very friendly.

“The hotel met our expectations for cleanliness and comfort, and is conveniently located near Hwy 400”

The breakfast selection was good and the food quality was solid, and because we were there for a family wedding with a crowd, the housekeeping staff were very helpful whenever I needed to access rooms. When an extension cord was needed, the front desk quickly found one and delivered it. Everyone was friendly and helpful. However, I asked for a kettle in the room for tea, but the hotel couldn't provide one. I would have liked real china; instead, the cups in the room and breakfast area were paper, and the cutlery was plastic. We brought our own tea, kettle, and cups because although the hotel offers 24‑hour tea and coffee, it didn't suit our taste and we wanted tea before heading downstairs for breakfast.

“Too big a variance in quality of Fairfield Inns and this was the worst”

The place was badly outdated, the TV didn’t work, the room smelled bad, the bed was old, and the bedding was tattered.

It was clean, close to family, and the staff were friendly, but the gym was very small.

“Good place to spend the night”

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was good, but the whole place feels worn out and outdated, smells stuffy, and is barely clean.
