This was an old Tucson‑style motel from around 1950, kept by a man who doesn’t speak English but was courteous and the place was in decent shape. The location was unfortunate, as UT is literally above I‑19; you have to know which on‑ramp to take and where the unmarked turn‑off appears. The place is serenaded by freeway noise 24/7. Still, it’s a quaint period hotel with small units and tile roofs. Move the hotel 3‑4 blocks away from I‑10.

The room felt authentically Indian and was spotless, the beds were comfortable, and the showers had hot water with great pressure; the couple who ran the place made me feel right at home, always asking if I needed anything and remaining warm, happy, and helpful—what a great place, I’d even consider living here! I couldn’t find a single thing I disliked; people often expect a luxury hotel vibe, but this culturally rich spot isn’t a resort, so those who criticize it are probably just ungrateful or pampered.
