After an 8‑hour drive I collapsed onto the bed and immediately detected a bad odor; when I inspected the pillow I almost threw up (see photo). The pillow was angrily swapped, but there was no apology or real cleaning in the room. Breakfast was entirely cold, even the coffee was missing, yet the pool was nice—though unusable until the afternoon and lacking sun umbrellas.

The room was lovely and the on‑site restaurant was inexpensive; the gym was decent and the location was reasonably central to both the train market and Aphawa market. The pool, however, was occupied by a swim school in the late afternoon, which meant I couldn’t lap there 😅.

Fantastic staff. I left my phone there and returned 4 days later to get it. They had it bagged up and ready to go. The bed was comfortable. The view was great. The only thing is the toilet is not in the bathroom. It's in a little closet on the other side of the room from the sink and shower. I kept going into the wrong room. The WiFi wasn't great in my room, but worked fine in other parts of the hotel

The staff were helpful, the breakfast was original—something we don’t usually find here.
