The spot was great, the bar area was nice and everything was spotless. I did upgrade, but the room didn’t feel like an upgrade at all, and there were no robes for the pool.

The location was excellent, right on the edge of the main city centre and walkable to everywhere, but the parking was unclear—apparently an underground car park costing £26 per day—and the 5th‑floor room by the atrium was noisy until late at night.

The event was convenient, but when I arrived in my room there was a man standing there who looked like he worked for Hilton (he had a room card), and I felt unsafe, especially with the current press on Travelodge and safety.
