“Idyllic country escape”
We ended up in a King suite after a glitch on a booking site, and it was fantastic! The hosts were warm and welcoming, no hiccups at all. The rooms were roomy, nicely furnished, and the beds were very comfortable. We loved the breakfast spread—espresso machine, homemade muesli, bread, fruit, eggs, cereals, spreads, herbal teas—all in a relaxed setting overlooking the garden and tennis court. Delphine and Guillaume made our 9‑year‑old feel at home, and during Easter they left chocolates on the steps up to our room for her to find, which was adorable. The tennis court, reading nook with kids’ books, and bean bags were great. We didn’t get to use the outdoor fireplace or spa pool this time, but they looked like perfect spots to unwind with wine or toast marshmallows. Located just 15 min from Kerikeri and about the same to Paihia, Forest Waters felt like a lovely home away from home. Thanks for having us!
