“Top Hotel mit deutlichen Abzügen beim Frühstück”
The location was exceptional and the room top‑class; staff were generally courteous and friendly and everything was clean. The breakfast area is in the roof restaurant because the old breakfast hall no longer exists, and it is noticeably cramped. Refilling takes a long time and is carried by a food cart that is not helpful in tight spaces. When getting up you bump into your neighbor because of the narrowness. Additionally, we were "evicted" from our table at breakfast because we were two at a table set for three that offered significantly more space; that was an absolute no‑go for us. The selection is "only" standard and the value for money is not in favor of the hotel. The layout of the breakfast area was especially unfortunate for the gentleman with a visible mobility impairment, as the narrowness also meant relatively long walks to the buffet, unless one had a spot directly next to it or was moved from it. The salt and pepper shakers were not present at every seat, which might be a minor flaw, but the passing of guests from table to table turned the pleasant atmosphere into a cafeteria‑like character with a bit of grit. We were there in the off‑season and I cannot imagine how the described problems would play out in peak season.
