The rustic spot inside the estate felt safe and peaceful, with plenty of wildlife and beautiful bird songs; the apartment was spotless and a lovely stay overall. One of the doors to the main house lacked blinds, so it didn’t feel very private.

The setting was lovely, the room clean and neat with nice décor and a comfy bed; the kitchen in the room was well stocked for self‑catering and braai, and the view while cooking was fantastic. It’s a great spot for tourists who have their own car and plan to cook for themselves. I was misled by the name – it’s not a cottage but a self‑catering bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, and the privacy is lacking because it’s attached to a house. For those who don’t mind, it’s still a nice place. The braai isn’t on the verandah but down the stairs next to it, which is inconvenient; maybe they could move it. The trek to town was quite a walk, and the security in and out was problematic every time we left and entered.

The wildlife security estate offered a wonderful experience amid pristine natural surroundings and beautiful rolling African savannah hills. The walking trails were safe, from short strolls to longer ones, and parking was secure. There was plenty of space, and the unit was very well equipped, clean, and cosy. The host was very welcoming, and I highly recommend it!
