“Nicht zu empfehlen!!!!”
The only bright spot was the owner’s daughter, who was genuinely friendly and helpful. We were given a single‑bed room instead of the double‑bed one we booked, which felt awkward for just colleagues, and the new room had a shower‑tub in the bedroom separated only by a half‑torn curtain. The water didn’t drain at all, leaving standing water that made the whole area unhygienic, and the plastered wall soaked up moisture whenever we showered. All the wooden furniture looked battered, the bed frame was split and barely held together with tape, and the carpet was so worn it had turned brown, stained, and its edges were frayed. The walls were stained, riddled with large cracks, and the baseboards were missing, leaving only glue residue as if they had just been ripped out. The exhaust fans in the room and bathroom didn’t work, and the air‑conditioner could only be switched on or off despite having a remote. In the bathroom a wiring box was left open and a large tile on the lower wall was broken, propped against the corner and posing a safety hazard, while the radiator was speckled with yellow stains. There was no hair‑dryer even though it was listed, and we didn’t use the TV so can’t comment on it. The location is fairly central, yet the hotel sits in a back alley between two other hotels in a rather questionable neighbourhood. The artificial grass on the tiny balcony was already faded and the balcony door barely opened or closed, pushing the carpet aside when we tried. When we asked about another room, we were offered a cramped single‑bedroom on the fourth floor.
