“Could be lovely”
Good facilities especially pool. Very quiet and no staff available to help with check in until we phoned. Booking errors meant I was charged 4 times for 1 room

The pool and other facilities were great, but the place needed a deep clean and refurbishment in some areas.

The setting around the Bellebouche pond was gorgeous and the restaurant on the leisure base, tucked in the woods with pond views, served excellent food, but we received no welcome when we arrived—the reception was closed with a note directing us to the nearby leisure base, there was no inventory or map, the campsite gate was broken so there was no night security, the kitchen lacked enough dishes, a garden table was broken, there were no deck chairs, the front door was hard to close from inside, and there was essentially no service—no restaurant, no bar. During our three‑day stay the hot‑water tank leaked, forcing us to move mid‑stay to a holiday village because of a serious electrical risk and loss of lighting. The leisure base was shut on Thursday (probably understaffed), so mini‑golf, pedal boats, etc., were unavailable. When we asked the manager, Mr Hamard, about mini‑golf, he said the weather (cloudy) didn’t allow it and called us liars when we mentioned the zip‑line listed on the website, claiming it was from the previous owner’s site. He was very disrespectful, dismissed our concerns, and cut the conversation short because he had an appointment at 15:00. In August 21, the leisure base was closed, leaving only a heated pool, and after being moved (thanks to the maintenance man, as the manager was nowhere to be seen) to the holiday village, we were shocked to see every accommodation open to anyone.

The location is beautiful and, with a bit of renovation now that the campsite has just changed hands, it could become a really nice spot, but access isn’t limited to campers—on weekends non‑campers from the leisure base use the toilets and leave it filthy for campers until Monday, there are no small spoons in the cabins, the cleaners spend barely five minutes cleaning and don’t check the dishes, yet the maintenance crew who came on Monday made the facilities spotless; there’s also no shop nearby—you have to drive at least 19 km for groceries, and a proper reception area would be a welcome addition.

The reception was closed, there was no breakfast, no bar, no restaurant, so it was impossible to eat and nothing matched the description.
