“Good decent hotel with decent food and a great gym/pool”
The spot was solid for me, and the spa and gym were decent, but I thought the price was a bit high for what you get.

The rooms were comfy, the location was close to the motorway, the food tasted good, the pool was nice, and the staff were helpful, but I had trouble with my room lock that the receptionist fixed; the door itself was stubborn to push open from either side.

The front desk team were friendly and quick, yet the food left a lot to be desired; the room service order was promised as “plated,” but the burger and chips arrived after 30 minutes of no response to the phone, in a large paper bag with no salt, pepper or sauces, and the next evening’s dinner was just soft battered fish with ordinary chips.

The rooms are incredibly comfortable and clean, but the spa and parking are free only if you book directly with the hotel, which saves about £55 because parking costs £15 and the spa is £30 per couple; I would recommend booking directly.
