I booked a room, but the owner said it was for women only and wouldn't let me stay. I emailed them before arrival and they sent me the room number, then told me to cancel and pay, but I couldn't get a refund because they never answered my calls or the cancellation request. I feel like a thief was taken for 40€.

The hostel was clean, the balcony view at sunrise was great, and the graffiti tour to the supermarket was a highlight. We even had a candlelit dinner under the stars and did yoga, and met some nice guests. But the dorm had no air, the AC didn't turn on even when I asked, and I couldn't close or open the door.

It turned out better than I expected. The owner and staff were friendly, so I'm puzzled why the rating is low. We left on the day a big renovation started, but once it's done it will be even better.
