The reception was extremely friendly and accommodating; I was able to check in early because a room was already ready. My room was small but beautifully furnished with a very modern bathroom. I’ll book here again for my next stay in Bonn. The hotel isn’t right in the old town, but it’s very cheap to reach the tram and only a few minutes’ walk to the historic centre.

The room and bathroom were spotless and the price matched the location and size. Because of a staffing shortage, there was no front desk at check‑in, but that was arranged with us beforehand. We also got a reserved parking spot without any trouble. When we met the staff in the mornings and at breakfast, they were very friendly, approachable, and kind. Breakfast was a bit basic despite the variety of options, but since we only stayed three nights it didn’t matter much; if you’re staying longer you might want something more.

A nice, modern, small hotel in a great spot for a stay in Bonn. The staff were friendly, helpful, and spoke fluent English. The rooms were compact but clean, quiet, with comfortable beds, new bathrooms, and effective air conditioning that was a relief during the hot August weather, plus a decent breakfast. The hotel sits on the edge of the city center near the Rhine, a 10‑minute walk from the train station, close to good restaurants and shops, and we could run along the river early in the morning. We stayed in the two‑bedroom suite. The common room had good WiFi, a small fridge, and was a nice place to unwind. Hotel Bonn City isn’t fancy but offers great value, and we’d definitely return.
