“Péssima”
The hostel was quiet, but the owner of the MORA hostel kept me in a shared room with air conditioning. It felt like a relative who didn’t like her nephews and was hosting visitors at her house. I booked because of the AC, but when I arrived she didn’t tell me that check‑in was at another lodge, which was fine. I asked for a blanket at check‑in because there was no AC, but she said she wouldn’t turn on the AC at night because it was cool there (???). She gave me a thin, old sheet and didn’t even offer a blanket to rent. She mentioned the AC schedule, but it only turned on when I returned to the room at night. On the second night I arrived at 02:00 and by 03:56 she had turned it on again (making it warmer) and set it to turn off at 07:00, so I was stuck in the heat of Rio Grande do Norte (she said check‑in was from 20:00 to 09:00). She doesn’t speak Portuguese and makes no effort to communicate. She watched me for the rest of my stay, and on the two days I was the only guest in the room, she looked at me like I was a pest. Things improved when two Spanish‑speaking girls came and spoke to her. The lodge had no cleaning at all; the bathroom wasn’t cleaned as shown in the photos below, and there was a rotten cloth in the bathroom. The toilet seat was in that condition, and you can see the cheap seat is only 40 reais. I would not recommend it to anyone.
