The spot sits right in the heart of Birgu, so getting around is a breeze. My room was roomy and I could use the shared kitchen on the ground floor and a rooftop deck with lounge chairs. The only downside was the third‑floor location – a lot of winding stairs to climb, especially with heavy luggage, and the windows let in street noise.

The place is amazing, quiet and genuinely beautiful. By 6 am a pastry shop just around the corner opens with fantastic pastries and coffee for a perfect start. The 3 € boat taxis to Valletta are a 2‑minute walk away, and the ferry service is about a 7‑minute walk. The apartment itself is comfy and lovely, and the rooftop terrace is great for breakfast, an evening drink, or sunbathing if you don’t feel like heading to the beach. The communal kitchen is easy to share with other guests and always kept tidy. The owners are very kind and helpful, always quick to reply when you text them. All in all, this place played a big part in making our trip wonderful, and we’d definitely book it again when we return to Malta.

The spot was excellent, right in the heart of Birgu, close to the waterfront and the ferry to Valletta. The room was comfortable, clean, and had a nice traditional Maltese vibe. I also liked the balcony and the quiet surroundings.
