The friendly lady is either South American or Spanish, which explains the name “Mi sueno”! The rental portion of the house is a single‑floor unit separated from the rest of the house where the lady, presumably with her Italian husband, lives. The building is relatively new and parking is on the gravel next to the house. Being in the countryside it’s very quiet. The price matches what’s offered. The street numbering is inaccurate, so I found the house by accident. There’s no sign indicating it’s a bed‑and‑breakfast… The rooms don’t have en‑suite bathrooms, yet I didn’t have to share a bathroom with anyone else, which can be annoying. The room with two single beds was very small, but the lady preferred giving me the room with a double bed! The bathroom is in front of the room and has a shower tub, so I assume the house isn’t brand new or the owner is old‑fashioned. The décor is a bit kitschy, cobbled together with random furniture. The walls are very thin and not insulated, so I could hear the neighbor snoring in the adjacent room… The tea selection was low quality and there were no evening teas or chamomile. There was a fridge under the coffee machine, but it was empty… Maybe some milk or cream capsules for tea or coffee would help, and a few biscuits would be appreciated. It’s definitely not a bed‑and‑breakfast since there’s no breakfast. It presents itself as “affittacamere”. Instead of giving me a receipt right away, she sent it via WhatsApp.

The house is just a stone’s throw from Udine, so it’s an hour from the sea and an hour from the mountains… nearby there’s a huge shopping center for everything… and the house is an independent studio with private parking in a very peaceful area. Nothing else.
