The staff were very friendly, kind and helpful, and the place was extremely dog friendly with a walking field right next door. The traditional pub bar had a great selection of beers, a lovely log burner, and a cosy atmosphere. Food was good, especially the breakfast with homemade bread. The bed was comfortable, and the big bath towels were unusual. The hotel sits in a beautiful village close to all attractions, offering exceptional value for money. It is basic, which matches the price, and there were no vegetarian options on the menu. Breakfast was served later than usual compared to most places, and there was some road noise.
