“Froh, nur eine Nacht dort gewesen zu sein”

It wasn’t what I expected or booked. We first arrived in a room with a double bed and an extra bunk bed, which wasn’t mentioned in the description and was unnecessary, and there was only one chair, not enough for a couple. The arrival process was not smooth; the room was not used as the housekeeper’s storage space with groceries and other supplies. There was a strong unpleasant smoke smell in the room, making the whole stay uncomfortable. Another shortfall was that the listing mentioned a TV and Wi‑Fi, but our room had none and the Wi‑Fi password was never given after I asked. An additional discomfort was that the curtain rod was attached to the ceiling, so we couldn’t close the curtains at night, preventing a relaxed sleep. The bathroom was also disappointing – dirty and lacking a fixed toilet seat. Overall, it was a very disappointing and uncomfortable stay.

I had to call the property owner to locate the place because no proper address was provided, there was no reception desk, the room was unclean with broken glass in the sink and on the floor, I felt insecure, the price was way too high, and I never received a receipt even after asking several times.
