The place is pretty, comfortable and very pleasant if you’re driving, because there’s parking inside the property. The owner, a very kind and gentle person, left us little cakes for breakfast each day, yogurt in the fridge, water bottles, and coffee capsules. He was very courteous, giving us a phone number to call taxis. We booked this spot away from the center because we were traveling by car, and the Assisi area didn’t seem to have accommodations with parking. For reference, there are paid parking lots on the outskirts of Assisi. Unfortunately we couldn’t rent a car in Italy because we didn’t have an international license, which the law requires, so we had to stick to the pre‑planned train route with large luggage. An important detail we didn’t anticipate… a bit complicated, but not terrible. We didn’t have time to cancel this accommodation and find something closer to Assisi, which was our problem, so we had to walk each day to the center or to Assisi and then walk to the bus stop at the station gate, and it was too hot those days. Taxis charged between 30 and 25 euros each time, and the trip was no more than 10 minutes, so the price was very high. Most likely, if we had been in Assisi itself, we wouldn’t have left because there’s a lot of entertainment and we wouldn’t have discovered the Santa Maria de Angelis area, which is modern and very pretty too. We learned the bus circuit, modern electric and comfortable buses. In the evenings we returned by taxi because it’s a bit far and in the middle of the countryside, or with luggage. 100 % recommend if you want independence and tranquility and you’re driving. Visiting Assisi in general was a wonderful experience! It was great, entertaining, full of emotions, art and very enriching. I suggest the bathtub should have some rubber on the floor because it felt slippery. Some hangers are needed to hang towels in the bathroom. A shelf to put shower items inside the bathtub and not leave them on the floor would help. Everything else was very good, no mosquitoes on the property. It was perfect otherwise… In Italy there were many mosquitoes, we had to buy anti‑mosquito repellent. At the Assisi train station there were plenty because of the heat and humidity of the area.
