Silence. No outdoor breakfast. Bathroom towels are stamp‑size. The bed is a bit short. The pool loungers are old. The reception is mediocre.

I loved everything about this place. The welcome was incredibly warm, and the location was exactly what I wanted: quiet with my dog, plus a pool that was a real bonus during the heatwave. The nearby villages are gorgeous and very rural, bringing back memories of my childhood—truly a Proustian moment.
