The fact that it was a complete apartment and its location was a plus, but it was sticky here and there and the sofas were worn out. A beehive was right next door, and we definitely had 10 bees in the toilet and a few in the living room.

The apartment is a bit far from the city center but almost better. Parking is inside, the bathroom is large, and the kitchen is a little cramped, but it’s fine for 1–2 days.

The place was spacious, with pretty gardens, secure parking, a very big bed and a huge walk‑in shower – absolutely nothing to complain about, it was excellent.

“Enjoyed our stay, just a bit disappointed with the cleanliness.”

The welcome felt warm and friendly, and the rooms were spacious, right on the main road and within walking distance of the waterfront; the staff and owners were friendly, and we had everything we needed, including an outside patio and braai. The garden was beautiful, the pool was enjoyable, and we felt safe with inside car parking that gave us peace of mind. The dog was friendly too, greeted us and said goodbye when we left – we’ll definitely return. On the downside, it wasn’t the cleanest: there was dust, the couches were uncomfortable, seemed worn and itchy near the window in the lounge, plates weren’t cleaned properly so I had to clean them before use, and the pool pump wasn’t working so leaves and sand weren’t being removed, though the water itself was sparkling clean.
