The location was fantastic—Elephantine Island is gorgeous, the boat ride was lovely, Mahmoud was attentive and kept in touch while we were out, made us feel welcome, and cooked wonderfully too!

We enjoyed a very pleasant stay at Anakob; the boat is moored on the west bank of Elephantine, requiring about a 5‑minute walk across the island from the ferry landing, which guarantees quiet nights and spectacular sunsets from the terrace. We especially valued the care shown by Mahmoud and Issa, who looked after us throughout our visit.

The stay was clean, had the required amenities, the shared space and the room has a fantastic view of the Nile. Accessing the boat from Aswan mainland was seamless (there is an efficient and affordable public ferry). Mahmoud the host also helped in arranging airport transfer, taxi to the sights and felucca ride. Ahmed was our driver for 3 days and he was the best driver we had in our trip. Breakfast could have been better

The staff were especially kind, and the common areas were pretty and cozy. The only downside was that hot water in the shower took a long time to come on.

I enjoyed a wonderful and peaceful retreat at this lovely property, where the owner was incredibly kind and helpful with all my needs. The complimentary transfer from Aswan was a great perk, and the breakfast was delicious. Waking up to a stunning view of the Nile and sipping coffee on the upper deck was pure bliss.
