This is a clean, modern, and beautiful hotel a little way up the Cangshan mountain. Everything in the hotel is convenient and comfortable, and the views are amazing. The staff were friendly and helped carry luggage upstairs and dropped us off to local spots for free. A few restaurants are within a five‑minute walk. Some guests shout and smoke indoors, but that’s not the hotel’s fault.

The location was convenient—close to the old town yet quiet enough for a good night’s sleep—and the room itself was decent. Unfortunately, breakfast left a lot to be desired, offering only congee, steamed buns, corn, eggs and rice noodles.

The inn felt both pretty and snug, and our room was big enough to enjoy the balcony view. Everyone on staff was friendly and went out of their way to help, even picking us up from the train station when we arrived in Dali. The next morning the owner drove us to Erhai Lake for sunrise, which was just amazing. All in all, a really pleasant stay.

Our room was clean and roomy, just a ten‑minute stroll to the ancient city, and the rooftop was perfect for watching the sunrise. The hosts were on it, sorting a driver for our day trip and handling pick‑ups and drop‑offs during the March Street festival when most roads were closed. The only downside was the shower – the fixtures were basic, but they worked. Overall, a solid place to stay.
