“Lovely place to stay.”

The location was great and the veggie options were hard to find this far out, though the facilities feel a bit dated.

The camp provides water, electricity, food and a Telstra connection, but the shared kitchen’s cleanliness was poor, there were no fly screens so it got extremely hot and full of flies while cooking, and the grounds and campsite maintenance were lacking. A bathroom lock fell off the women's code lock, so another maintenance person is needed.

Extremely disappointing experience and, frankly, unacceptable customer service. We booked accommodation at Mungo Lodge specifically because we wanted to visit Mungo National Park and do the sunset tour. The tour was the main reason we were making the trip and staying at the lodge. One day before our booking, Mungo Lodge cancelled our sunset tour. There was no explanation, no alternative offered, and nobody contacted us to discuss our options. We had to call them ourselves to find out what had happened. We were eventually told that the cancellation was due to a staff member being sick. We completely understand that unexpected circumstances happen and that this particular cancellation may have been outside their control. What is not acceptable is how the situation was handled. Only after we called were we offered an alternative tour, but unfortunately the new date was not possible for us. We therefore asked to cancel the accommodation as well, so that we could reorganise the trip for another time. We were told that we would receive a refund for the accommodation, which had been booked . Three months later, we are STILL waiting for that refund. We have contacted them about it, and despite being promised that the refund would be processed, nothing has happened. At this point, the issue is no longer about an unavoidable tour cancellation — it is about a business promising a refund and then failing to deliver it for three months. Things outside a business’s control can happen. What is within its control is how it treats customers afterwards. Leaving someone waiting for three months for money they were explicitly promised back is simply unacceptable. Very disappointing experience. We would not book with Mungo Lodge again and cannot recommend it based on how this situation has been handled

“The lodge needs a proper maintenance. The price it costs renting a tent is not worthy.”

Only the food in the restaurant. 1. Many outdoor garbage bins didn't have lid on them. Litter can be seen everywhere on the ground. 2. Camp kitchen door didn't lock properly. 3. Men's bathroom door had combination lock but it didn't work. 4. Tents we rented were not set up properly. Guy ropes improperly 'fixed' to the ground. Obviously the management doesn't know how to set up permanent tents properly. Ground sheet inside the tent would be great to make it look cosy. At the front of the tent semi-rotting timber step-up

The cabins offer private views, the camp kitchen is well equipped and clean, and the restaurant food was very good.
