The staff were super friendly and helpful, yet the beds that were supposed to be queens didn’t fit my 5’ tall, 110‑lb self or my 6’4”, 250‑lb husband; we couldn’t sleep comfortably, he had to angle himself, and the mattresses were as hard as brick—terrible night.

Breakfast had a good variety, my daughter enjoyed the pool, and I liked that the ceiling and walls weren’t thin enough to let you hear everything around you; I could also control the thermostat, which was a relief after a previous hotel that wouldn’t let me. The lobby and hallway smelled of a strong air freshener that gave me a headache, and I thought the desk clerk might have sprayed it, but it was present both days. The beds could be softer—maybe offer a mattress topper on request—and I didn’t receive the receipt I was told would be emailed at checkout.

Everything was perfect, so much so that I had to look for another Holiday Inn for the night. The only downside was kids above us jumping on the bed until 10:30 pm, but that wasn’t the hotel’s fault.
