They gave us a wonderful welcome, with great kindness and excellent dishes! We hope to return soon. Nothing to add.
“Repartis avant la fin du séjour”
The location is beautiful, the castle is gorgeous, surrounded by nature, quiet, with donkeys and goats that kids liked, and a nice lawn in front of the castle to watch sunsets (and an eclipse). The mobile AC added to the room was very noisy (60 dB measured!), impossible to close the window during the day to keep heat out, impossible to ventilate at night for a bit of coolness, so we had to use it and regret not having proper vents. The mezzanine fan was only slightly quieter (56 dB). The pool was green‑brown and under treatment. Three missing slats on a 90 cm bed frame meant we had to have our two daughters share a bed because only three of the four advertised beds worked. The owner should have known, as she didn’t put sheets on that bed. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom on arrival (luckily we had supplies from a week of Airbnb). The towel rack in the bathroom held five towels (no extra hook). Tiles were broken in the bathroom. The tap in the bathroom leaked. Wires were visible in the hallway and bathroom.

The spot is great, the change of scenery and the chance to snag a family room were highlights. The pool water was green and had dead insects floating on top, far from what the picture showed. The tap leaked, several sockets didn’t work, and there were visible holes and exposed wires. It was far too hot during the heatwave, and the hosts were not welcoming at all.
The location, the pool, and the friendly hostess were great. It was nice that we could join the meal. The slope of the driveway was steep, so our car couldn’t drive up; we had to detach the travel trailer from the bottom of the lane.

The welcome was perfect, the owners were friendly, breakfast and dinner were amazing. The garden fruit and vegetables, extra bread, and the runny omelette at breakfast were highlights. The pool, the room AC, all were great. Will come back as soon as possible. Nothing else.
