The welcome and Julienne’s smile, the warm atmosphere of the lodge, the pretty rooms, the very good varied homemade meals, the beautiful tableware, and the fantastic breakfasts made me feel like I was at home elsewhere and better! Go for it!

The owner gave us a very warm, personalized welcome. The staff are professional and attentive; we enjoyed meals made from ingredients sourced from the property’s garden. My partner especially loved celebrating her birthday there. Julienne, the manager, created a cocoon with elegant décor and a warm, intimate atmosphere at the doors of Akagera. The stay was too short: we didn’t book enough days on site.

The place was gorgeous, with a big garden and animals that delighted our three kids; the room was stunning, very stylish and comfortable, tastefully furnished, and Julienne gave us a warm welcome. The meals were delicious, almost everything was produced on‑site, and Akagera Park was only a short half‑hour drive away—we’re already dreaming of returning.
