I stayed at Lawinta Hotel before and it’s my go‑to when I visit Jomtien because the location is great—next to Rompho and only a few minutes’ walk to the beach. The staff are pleasant and very helpful. The price is very reasonable and everything you need is within walking distance.

The staff were friendly and the sunroof pool was relatively large, but the bedding was so hard and uncomfortable that we had to ask for a refund and leave after two nights. Apparently, our experience wasn’t unique because they had extra cushions to put on mattresses but claimed they were all in use in other rooms—so other guests had the same issue! Moreover, the hotel sits right opposite a rather unsavory street on one side and next to an equally unsavory night market on the other. Pattaya is Pattaya, but for those who don’t want to deal with the sex trade, this isn’t a commendable area to stay.
