“Absolute disappointment will not recommend shit. Stay.”

I went there to ask how much a night would cost, and the manager on the phone told me to book online, but when I finally booked, there was no water so I couldn’t take a proper shower at all. They don’t speak English and showed no concern for the lack of communication or service. I couldn’t wash my hair properly because there wasn’t enough water for a normal shower, so the service was terrible. I didn’t end up sleeping there and instead slept in my truck, which I preferred.

I appreciated how quiet and clean the apartments were. Over the years I’ve stayed at many Mackay spots that were either too noisy—like those on Nebo Road with the airplane flight path—or in the city centre with loud bars and clubs, or if you found a quiet area you had to pay sky‑high rates. This place was perfectly positioned.
