The location was very close to the station, the breakfast was good and the staff were very friendly, but the place wasn’t very clean—especially the shared showers—was poorly insulated, it was cold in the rooms, you could hear people chatting at the bar past 10 pm despite the ban, and strong cooking smells drifted into the rooms, which was very unpleasant.

Black Diamond Pension is a basic, great-value spot in Niseko, close to a lift. It has strong hostel vibes—in a fun, lively way—with included breakfast, a bar, and food at night. The owner and staff are cool and do a solid job. They drove us to the lift after breakfast, to a local onsen at night, and to/from the train station (with a few hours’ notice). Excellent bang for your buck. Not many restaurant or shopping options near by. You're kind of remote. I could see having a rental car while staying here would be helpful

The staff were very friendly. The lodge was located close to the mountain with free shuttles to the gondola. Meals were great.

The personnel is welcoming and available to help and drive us. The establishment offers several shuttle buses to the mountain and onsens. The common area is perfect for ordering a post‑ski beer and food. Nothing.
