The room was spacious with a beautiful view, the buffet varied, and we ate on the terrace overlooking the sea; the staff were friendly, and the hotel was close to the beach, shops, and taxis. The pool area had lounge chairs and beach access.

I didn't like that we couldn't even stop at the door to drop off our luggage. There is no private parking, and the area is bad for parking. It is true that they offer parking about 300 m from the hotel for a reasonably fair price (90 € for 5 days). Breakfast is limited to the bare essentials.

The hotel was centrally located yet quiet, on a wide sandy beach with a nice sea view. Many rooms had side or direct sea views and were relatively large. The receptionist on arrival was extremely arrogant and ignored our personal requests that we had already mentioned in an email and in person. The room that was assigned matched exactly what we did not want: it was not away from the dining room, bar, or pool, it was on the ground floor, and ultimately in the last remaining corner. They claimed everything else was fully booked and could not accommodate any of our wishes. After a long argument, we were suddenly offered two other rooms that were much better located. It felt like an unfriendly power move, especially since we had booked 8 nights with a 2600 Euro package. On the check‑in day, there were free rooms with a package and direct sea view for 258 € per night, 8 nights total 2064 €, so we could have had nicer rooms for 550 € less. Instead, they tried to push us into a noisy, poorly located room. Also: 1. There is no freshly squeezed orange juice at the buffet, only artificial sugary nonsense. 2. I have never seen such a lackluster lunch package on the departure day at 4 am (instead of breakfast): two untoasted, borderless toast pieces with a slice of cheese on top, and that was it.

The hotel was lovely, clean, and comfortable with a big, airy room and a stunning beach view. We enjoyed the pool area and pool bar, and the location was perfect for the marina, Portimão, and a nice stretch of shops and restaurants on Praia de Rocha. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had half board and had stayed at many all‑inclusive hotels around the Mediterranean; this was the best quality food we have ever had, especially the fish and shellfish. The only minor gripe was that the pool bar didn’t serve Sagres, a local beer we really liked; we weren’t fans of Super Bock, so we settled for Corona.
