Being close to Shilin Night Market is a big plus, yet when we arrived with a child the front desk staff were helpful and upgraded us to a larger room, even bragging about a panda bathtub that the kid was excited to splash in—only to find the tub had no hot water. The rate felt steep, no breakfast was offered, and because it was a Saturday holiday near the attractions we felt overcharged.

The location is great—about a ten‑minute walk to Shilin Night Market—and the room is comfortable and fairly spacious, with not just a chair at the vanity but also an extra small table and two chairs, which is handy for putting market snacks down. The bathtub is large and the place is clean. The elevator, however, seemed out of balance; it rocked a lot when moving between floors.
