The food was tasty and the staff were friendly, but the food was pricey, the bathroom extractor was broken, and the window handles were damaged. The room downstairs was noisy because it was next to the pub.

“Excellent seafront pub hotel with great food and comfy rooms”

The hotel sits right on the seafront, parking is plenty, and the bar‑run reception was very welcoming. My room was stylishly decorated, comfy, with crisp linens and a spacious double bed that had a good mattress. The bathroom was modern and fully equipped, and there was no annoying noise. The dog‑friendly restaurant and bar had a lively atmosphere and were full of locals. The menu was balanced, the pub food was well presented and reasonably priced, and some desserts were spectacular. The busy staff were efficient, prompt, and friendly. I can’t find any fault with this excellent British/Scottish pub‑style hotel.

“Warm and cosy”

I spent two nights there with my small dog. The interior is genuinely charming and steeped in history. My room was spotless, very cozy, and the Scottish décor and furnishings were lovely. The bed was super comfy and the bathroom had been recently renovated. I ate a burger and cheesecake for dinner, and they were delicious. A big thank you to the staff—they were all so friendly—and a heartfelt thanks to Eilioh 🙏❤️, who even looked after my dog’s well‑being. I’ve left a little piece of my heart here and I’ll definitely return.

I liked the location, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the meals were good. The plumbing was very noisy, waking us a few times at night (room 2).
