The house was spotless, easy to get to, and the host was very helpful, giving all the information you might need about Bruges. The location is very quiet, less than 10 minutes from the canals that surround the old town, and it’s hard to find a spot closer that’s also car‑accessible. I do want to point out one issue: we asked about parking. There’s only one spot, which was taken on the day of our arrival, and the street where the address is located is a blue‑zone street. Parking there is free, but only for a few hours. The host helped us park on a perpendicular street (30 metres away, no more), where that rule doesn’t apply. Be aware of that! The shared bathroom is a concern; I didn’t feel it was a problem, but those who prefer privacy might not like it. Personally, my biggest issue was the bed. I’m a pretty hefty guy with back problems and used to firm mattresses. The beds were fine but a bit soft for someone like me. My friend, who is half my size, slept perfectly fine. You get the idea!
