The service was friendly and welcoming. The room was roomy with a large, comfortable bed.

Although the lodge was near the airport, it was relatively quiet; you could even hear birds chirping at night and see a beautiful starry sky thanks to the clear air. For dinner you could drive to Twitzel. Breakfast was served in the lodge and was very good; you had to prepare it yourself but everything was available, including breakfast eggs. It is a bit away from Twitzel, but since you drive, I don’t see that as a negative. I would book again.

A great spot away from town but close enough for easy access. The room was great, and we loved watching the sunset from outside our room.

“One of our best stays”

I had a fantastic 3‑night stay at the lodge. The location was perfect for seeing Lake Tekapo and doing the Hooker Valley walk, and it was very close to shops and restaurants in Twizel. It was so peaceful and relaxing, with beautiful mountain views and great for watching planes, helicopters, and skydivers. The rooms were very spacious, with a huge, comfortable bed, a walk‑in shower, and it was nice to have chairs and a table. We loved the skylarks singing outside. The room had air‑con, a fridge, and a kettle, and we could also use the shared kitchen to make tea, coffee, and our own meals. Self‑service breakfast items were available in the morning: eggs, yogurt, milk, cereal, fruit, toast, and jams. Laundry was $10 per wash and dry. We enjoyed the place very much. Book it while it’s available, as there are only 5 rooms.

“Außergewöhnlicher Aufenthalt - längerer Aufenthalt lohnt sich”

Exceptional location, large rooms, large bathroom, large bed, modern bathroom, air‑conditioning, large windows, the possibility to watch stars and planes from the bed, good kitchen equipment, fridge.
