Pension Central Hostel Berlin

The location is good. The tram and S-Bahn are within walking distance. With the tram it takes about 10‑15 minutes to reach the Alex. The S-Bahn Greifwalderstr. runs on the Ringbahn. The fact that rooms are rented at such a high price is the lowest tier. The room had no mirror, and the humidity inside was far too high. I first had a room in the hostel itself. That room faced the street and had a shop door. The window had no blinds. The shower was in the communal area with a sliding door. Everything could be heard, and if you didn’t close it properly you could also see everything. The shower had completely fallen down, the shower curtain was dirty, and the men's toilet was full of urine while standing. Awful!!! The second booking was room 7 in the courtyard. It has its own bathroom and toilet but is also very old. That room also had extremely high humidity. My clothes smelled like that, so I had to wash everything. The rooms also had a kitchenette and a fridge, which I didn’t use because it didn’t look clean. The bed is nice and big but with a fabric cover and various stains, I have no idea what those stains are. For the price I could have booked a good hotel at the Alex, but my girlfriend lives just around the corner and I was there by car.

The price was good, but the curtains didn't block light and room 1 was a noise leak from the hallway and the central living area.

The place was clean, the bed comfortable, and the shared kitchen was fine. The shopping center was close, and public transport was nearby. However, the Wi‑Fi was spotty and I could hear other guests' alarm clocks; parking was tricky. Free parking was a few blocks away, but you had to be lucky to snag a spot.

“Rapporto qualità-prezzo spettacolare”

The location was perfect, right on the Ring, and the single room had everything I needed. I’d read negative comments about the shower, but when I was there it was spotless. No major issues. The value for money was simply amazing: next time I go to Berlin, I’ll book the same room without hesitation. The only slight drawback was a faint smell of smoke in the room (probably from a previous guest), but nothing unbearable.

“Buena relacion precio-calidad”

The kitchen supplied all the cookware and appliances you could need, the shower water was good and at a nice temperature, and the bathroom in the room made it more comfortable; the pension was surrounded by supermarkets and the train station was three blocks away. The sheets and towels were very clean. The Wi‑Fi connection was a bit weak and unstable in our room, but it worked well in the dining area.
