A truly heartfelt effort from the owner, who is the most lovely and attentive host. The communal areas are creative and eclectic. Our room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and situated right in the middle of old town. If you’re taking a taxi, make sure to be dropped off at Kolona (Port); it’s a five‑minute walk to the hotel. When you leave, there’s a taxi rank at Kolona. I wouldn’t rent a car because they can’t enter the city walls, and Kolona is easy from the hotel.

The location was in the centre of the Old Town. Apostoles was an excellent host and made us feel most welcome with a personal gift. The decor was out of this world – a real ancient meets quirky vibe. No one other than Carmen would think of putting an old, distressed door sideways on the wall and turning it into a decorative piece. If anyone is thinking of visiting Rhodes Old Town, please make Carmen Art Hotel your base – you won’t be disappointed. It’s very rare that you can’t think of anything that could be improved upon – but this is the rare occasion. It was perfect!

Great central location, giving immediate access to everything in Old Town. Very clean, modern and comfortable room. The owner was fully reachable by phone if needed and provided us with treats of wine, coffee and bread during our stay. Would definitely recommend.
