I liked everything: the hotel, the reception, and the location.
“Ein gutes Erlebnis”
The location is great and the staff are super friendly.
“Für 2 Nächte ok”
The location is very good, perfect for anyone who wants it remote and quiet, right on the river. The restaurant is excellent and offers great Thai cuisine; the value for money is spot on. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The bungalows are a bit old‑fashioned, look worn and unkempt for the price. There is a kettle but no coffee or tea. The breakfast for 369 bhat is not worth it; there’s no coffee included and it’s completely overpriced. The pool doesn’t look like the pictures; it’s more like a large bathtub and isn’t very inviting. You should stock up on drinks and snacks at 7‑Eleven on the way to the resort because there’s nothing nearby.
“Abandoned and neglected hotel”
The view from our hut was nice and the jungle setting kept things quiet. However, when we arrived and were shown our hut, we barely received any explanation about how the hotel operates. We went to the restaurant for a drink, the waitress was really nice, but it felt abandoned; we were the only people there and there was little choice of food or drinks. The hut looked much smaller than in the pictures and felt neglected. The mosquito net had holes in several places, the sheets were old and also had holes. The bathroom was old and poorly maintained. The steps leading to our hut were dangerous, cables ran over them, leaves everywhere, and they were crumbling in spots. The swimming pool looked dirty, was much smaller than in the pictures, and the slide was broken. There was no breakfast at the restaurant (it only opens at 11 am) and no facilities to eat or even drink coffee or tea. A night guard was supposed to be present, but we did not see him when we retired to our hut and had to turn off the lights in the restaurant ourselves. The next morning around 8 am there was still no one at the reception. We waited 20 minutes before the night guard—who we think—showed up, he didn’t really talk to us, just took the keys and then disappeared again. Luckily we had booked our taxi ourselves. Overall, the hotel felt neglected, everything was old, and the pictures really don’t match the reality at all.
The place is fantastic, ideal for relaxing. The restaurant opens at 10 am and the staff are very friendly. It’s far from everything and sometimes you feel trapped; if you rent a car, it’s a 10.
