Klammer Gasthof

The description was wrong, the hotel was closed, the key code was sent by e‑mail, there was no staff on site, the restaurant was permanently shut, the two other restaurants that were supposed to be within walking distance were also permanently closed, the supposedly wonderful breakfast turned out to be just a kettle with instant coffee, and the photos were from a time when the hotel was still operating.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was good, but the rooms were still under renovation and the showers were tiny.

We chose this pension just for a night and a bite on the way to Italy, and it met our expectations; the owner lady was very helpful, and parking was free right in front of the pension.

The house lady is fantastic—she takes great care of guests and cooks well. The pension needs a renovation; the old facilities show, but the wonderful owner loves her guests and cooks well, and you can see the effort even though there’s no capacity, strength, or funds to refurbish.

Friendly staff, good beds, and good value for the price. The place is old but tidy.
